Tempus fugit

It's been a busy week and I haven't done much painting. But I sorted paintings out for exhibiting and must repair damage to some of them, including this one, which is a so-called "bas relief" i.e. a bit 3D. I worked several of them on canvas and that's not such a good idea, after all. In one or two places bits have detached themselves and I am repairing them with a flexible medium which I hope will stick! I expect it will change its identity again, but for the moment I've called it "vanity". I didn't model the head, it just appeared! The throat and the left ear need some 3D. This kind of "mixed media" work is great fun. It's a genuine participant sport.
