The exhibition opening was really very nice and well attended, and may lead to a solo exhibition for me! I felt quite sorry that I have left that painting group, but I have to be realistic. It was expensive and unproductive. Maybe painting at the crack of dawn (well, 9 a.m.) is not ideal for a night bird like me. My best work is always done round midnight. This week I'll have to look at all my paintings and decide which ones I can exhibit, probably in November. One or two have never been seen in public, and I think I will paint a few new canvases in bright colours. Here's one of the older, very large canvases I painted for an exhibition that never happened. It can be hung more or less any way round!
